Table of Contents
Staubbachfalle
To get to this waterfall, simply hop on a train from Interlaken Ost Station to Lauterbrunnen, and walk to the waterfall. Staubbachfalle height is 297 meters coming from a cliff. This is the third highest waterfall in Switzerland. The waterfall is also known as dust creek fall (staub= dust), simply because the droplets from the fall’s spray giving the dust-like effect on its surrounding. Not only the waterfall, you can wander around the village and hike the surrounding hills for a better scenery.
When I was there, it was raining lightly. I could not stay longer since I have another place to go, and the rain didn’t seem to stop any sooner. I braved myself to stand in the rain and get the picture of myself with the waterfall before going to Trummelbachfalle.
Best Part of the Staubacfalle: Majestic Falls with pretty village nearby, creating “magical” village that only exists in storybook
Trummelbachfalle
If you going further south from Lauterbrunnen, you will be met with Trummelbachfalle. This waterfall is the world’s only glacier waterfall that are accessible underground by lift, galleries, tunnels, path, and platforms. It carries the water from melting glaciers In Jungfrau with up to 20,000 liters water per second.
Different with Staubbachfalle that are in an open area and free to public, Trummelbachfalle is a stand-alone attraction, and its entrance fee is CHF 12 for adult and CHF 5 for children. The Trümmelbach Glacier Waterfalls are open from 9 am to 5 pm daily from the beginning of April to the beginning of November and from 8:30 am to 6 pm in July and August.
Best part of Trummelbachfalle: Exploration with a surprise falls on the twisted gorge and dramatic waterfall stream
Giessbachfalle
Giessbachfalle is one of my favourite waterfall. It has 14 stages of falls over 500 m in length. Talking about exploration, finding falls in the stream is an interesting activities like no other waterfalls. The stream gathered in Lake Brienz and at the lowest stage stands beautiful Grand Hotel Giessbach.
To go to this waterfall, simply take train from Interlaken east to Luzern and stop at Brienz, then ride Bus #155 towards Axalp and make a stop at Brienz BE, Abzw. Giessbach bus station.
Best part about Giessbachfalle: 14 cascaded waterfalls over 500 meters length with “magical woods” feeling along the path. The most dramatic waterfalls.

Aareschlucht gorge
This is the most mystical waterfall hunting of all four. Aare Gorge is said to be a product of glaciation over 10,000 years ago. Walking through the narrow path and edgy landscape of the gorge is both very interesting and scary.
I went here after Giessbachfalle, by hoping on a boat to Brienz, and then taking a train to Aare Gorge, and the view around Lake Brienz was soo amazing. Lake Brienz is located on the eastern side of Interlaken, and Lake Thun was on west side of Interlaken. Both side offer amazing view and worth exploring.

Best thing about Aareschluct Gorge: Mystical Gorge exploration with a bonus of emerald falls.
Fallbodensee
Klein Scheidegg was my replacement for the failed visit to Stellisee and Riffelsee Lake in the hope to see Matterhorn. Though I manage to see Matterhorn from Gornegrat, I added Kleine Scheidegg to my list anyway. Clearly, this is not a place to see Matterhorn, but we can see Mount Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau from here.
Again, thanks to the snow, the path towards one of the most beautiful lake Fallbodensee was inaccessible. However, I found this small lake-lookalike that shine its tortoise blue, contrast to its white surrounding. This lake can be found just few meters away from Kleine Scheidegg train station.

Those are places that i visited around Lake Brienz (interlaken East). I visited those places in one day, with approximately 1,2-2 hour per attractions from early in the morning till the afternoon. It is possible to be done. However, if you want a slower pace while enjoying the view, you may be able to visit 2-3 places maximum.
