Busan City Sightseeing Tour

Before departing to Jeju Island, i had some hours to explore Busan. Busan is located on the south part of South Korea and it’s a second largest city in South Korea. It’s has so many beaches and the wind (at that time) was so hard all day round. However, this city chill got me excited.
With the limited time that we had, we chose Busan City Tour Bus that hop-on and hop-off on several places so we could use our time effectively. And since we chose to stay in Haeundae area, we chose Haeundae circle for the Hop-on hop-off tour.

Since we only had limited time, we only followed half of the Haeundae’s route. We went to Busan Museum, Gwangalli Beach, Nurimaru, and back to Haeundae Beach before catching bus to Busan’s Airport.

Busan Museum is very humble building, yet very rich in its park, but then Seoul’s Museum also very rich for its beautiful Park. In this museum, most of exhibitions are displayed in term of history and art.

Gwangalli beach definitely one of the Busan most prominent beach. It displays the majestic Gwangan bridge. The beach sand is very soft and the surrounding is very clean. This is the kind of beach where you can sit and relax (especially when the wind is not that hard). Across the beach are plentiful restaurants and store you can enjoy. I would definitely return to the beach if i’m to visit Busan.

Nurimaru is stand for Nuri that means “world”, and maru that means “summit”. Nurimaru APEC House is the Building that was once used as a world summit, in this case is APEC, back in 2005. The building now is more of a museum where the meeting room, seating arrangement are on display to public. There’s also the list of countries followed the 2005 APEC.

The building is located at the highland in the Dongbaek Island. The bus that took us there only stop down in the mouth of the island, so we have to take a walk about 20 minutes upward to reach the building passing the Dongbaek Park. There were so many people around the park for jogging and other sport activities. Out from the building if we’re going up, we can see the lighthouse.

Another pretty sight is actually just outside the island, where all the skyscraper lining to form such a beautiful harmony with the Haeundae Beach.

Haeundae Beach is our square one. We tried to once again inhale the Busan beach (hopefully not for the last time) before we headed to Busan international Airport.

When we go to Seoul, we are presented by historical buildings, palace, and the hype of modern city life. In Busan, we are presented with beach, landscape and wonderful street food. Both cities are wonderful and worth exploring.
